This is an update of the Emerican History timeline.

The Emerica team participates in a special artistic contest held by TransWorld Skateboarding called Skate and Create. They spend nine days in a warehouse building a skateboarding environment to represent Emerica through video and photography. The results include a video clip and a 16-page Emerica spread in the October 2008 issue of TransWorld.

Upcoming amateurs Jamie Tancowny and Justin Figueroa join the Emerica team.

The Emerica team embarks on a Stay Gold filming mission down in Australia, plus a signing at Beyond Skate in Perth.

The Emerica team heads out on the highway for Wild Ride 2008 from Easley, South Carolina to Sayreville, New Jersey, followed by Wild in the Streets 2008 in New York City. Check out all of the Wild Coverage!

Emerica presents the world's longest commercial of all time, called Kevin All Day and Night Long, a 24-hour film by Donny Miller.

The Emerica team holds down the fort in Magazine World in 2008, with a Jamie Tancowny article in issue 6.1 of Color, two Bryan Herman covers in the March issue of TransWorld Skateboarding and the Pharmacy 2008 Calendar, a Brandon Westgate interview in the April issue of Thrasher, Andrew Reynolds and Bryan Herman interviews in issue 50 of The Skateboard Mag, a Jamie Tancowny cover in the August issue of Thrasher, an article on the Young Emericans called "Emerican Heat Seekers in Miami" in the October issue of Skateboarder, and, finally, Emerica finishes out the year in style by sweeping the final issue of Slap with a Heath Kirchart cover and a Leo Romero interview.

The Emerica team completely destroys the contest arena in 2008, as Leo Romero wins Best Trick at the Maloof Money Cup for an insane noseblunt slide up the Carlsbad gap. Not to be outdone, Marisa dal Santo wins second place and a silver medal in the Women's Skate Street Finals at X Games 14. Justin Figueroa, Collin Provost and Aaron Suski earn first, second and third place respectively in the Bank Ledge event at Back to the Banks 2008. Andrew Reynolds wins second place at Thrasher's Bust or Bail!. Jamie Tancowny wins the top am title at the Downtown Showdown, and last but not least, Brandon Westgate wins Active Am 2008!

Ed Templeton appears in a film about the Beautiful Losers art show, releases the long-awaited Deformer book about his life and times growing up in Orange County, and opens his Map of the Inner War art show at the Roberts and Tilton gallery in Los Angeles.

Hailing from the northern woods of Canada, Deer Man Of Dark Woods is a longtime friend of Emerica and a devoted disciple of barrier skateboarding. A blood member of the Barrier Kult, DMODW and The BA. KU are devoted to the skateboarding destruction of natural street barriers and the anti-conformist ideology it inherently represents in its sole dedication. DMODW and the BA. KU. During a vist to Emerica headquarters, Deer Man Of Dark Woods and Emerica embarked on a special collaborative effort to develop a limited-edition version of a favorite Emerica shoe with the BA. KU. to exact his specialized craft. The Emerica Francis Barrier Kult is the result.

Jerry Hsu joins the Emerica team and promptly wins the Readers' Choice and Best Video Part awards at the ninth annual TransWorld Skateboarding Awards. Braydon Szafranski wins Rookie of the Year.

Heath Kirchart launches the Emerica Gear team.

The Emerica team embarks on the Terreur Tour and filming missions throughout France from May 2-19, culminating with a demo at the V7 Teenage Tour Finals.

On the Fourth of July, 800-plus skaters join the Emerica team for a ride through the streets of San Francisco during Wild in the Streets 2007.

Aaron Suski and Brandon Westgate join the Zoo York team on Thrasher's King of the Road tour.

Leo Romero embarks on RVCA's Mild Ride, a mini-tour on Vespa scooters from Costa Mesa to San Francisco, California.

The Emerica team performs three major demos in California at the Zumiez Couch Tour in Milpitas, Utility Boardshop in La Verne and Active in Simi Valley.

On the contest front, Emerica globetrotter and contest hustler Chris Senn wins second place in the Skateboard Park event at X Games Asia in Shanghai, China, and Andrew Reynolds wins a silver medal and second place in the Men's Skateboard Street Best Trick contest at X Games 13 in Los Angeles, where Marisa dal Santo wins a gold in Women's Skateboard Street.

Emerica completely dominates the The Skateboard Mag in 2007 with a Wild Life promo DVD and 12-page article in issue 35, an interview with Braydon Szafranski in issue 37, a cover and massive 12-page interview featuring Aaron Suski in issue 40, a Heath Kirchart cover in issue 41, and last but certainly not least, workhorse Leo Romero scores the cover of issue 44, plus a 10-page interview inside. Kevin “Spanky” Long holds his own with an interview in Thrasher.

As if all of that isn't enough, Andrew Reynolds commands no less than four magazine covers throughout 2007, including a kickflip fakie on the cover of Concrete, a backside flip down Wallenburg on the cover of Thrasher, a back heel down the big five at Bercy on the cover of The Skateboard Mag and a lil' quarterpipe fun on the cover of French skate mag Sugar. I guess that's why they call him The Boss!

Aaron Suski becomes a father to Sophia Annabella Suski, who is born in Tucson, Arizona on Friday, November 9, 2007.

Ed Templeton opens his Invasive Embrace art show on February 8, 2007 at the Monster Children Gallery in Sydney, Australia. He also releases a new book entitled Nobody Living Can Ever Make Me Turn Back, a collection of photos taken across America’s heartland from Denver, Colorado to Chicago, Illinois during Emerica’s Wild Ride 2006.

The Outskirts of Awesome is a rad new photo book by Thrasher's Editor at Large and Photographer Michael Burnett, featuring snaps taken on trips to Europe, Russia, China and Skatopia in rural Ohio in Summer 2007. On November 29, 2008 at 15:00, more than 20 skaters waited under the shadow of a tree for the Bus of Death. After an hour's drive, we arrived at the La Dehesa area to skate one of the most difficult and strange spots in Santiago, Chile, known affectionately as El Ditch. Skaters from various crews were already riding and waiting for the event to start. A small BBQ was crammed full of food and fired-up, and Red Bulls were cracked open.

After three hours full of many tricks, slams, girls, families and good vibes, the winner of the Best Trick was crowned. Pato Vargas claimed it with a nice and smooth switch flip 360, a blunt slide frontside out and a pop shove-it 360. The second best trick, a nollie bigspin 540, was done by Stavros Razis. Gato Rodriguez and Mauricio Murci won Best Slam with some really heavy crashes. There was also a Best Photo event, which was won by Jorge Binder, who shot a sequence of a Pokemon-inspired fronside flip. Thanks to the judges, Pato Albornoz from La Tabla and Diego Rojas from Descaro.

Moreso than a normal contest, this session was the best way for everyone to determine the best trick in El Ditch, plus enjoy lots of music, food, drinks and friends. Thanks to everybody who helped fix the spot, and to the efforts of Red Bull, Gangsta Skateboards, Emerica, Zero and Destructo for helping put on a real event that represents the best of skateboarding in Chile.
