Cowtown Go Skateboarding Night Report

On June 21, 2006, the skateboarders of Phoenix, Arizona celebrated Go Skateboarding Night with Cowtown’s Golden Egg Quest, presented by Emerica.

Scene 1: Cowtown on Central at 7:25 p.m.
Phoenix Police Department: “What’s going on here tonight?”
Trent (Cowtown): “Oh, we're having a video premiere, we do it all the time. It was just advertised a little more this time, so that's why there are so many people around.”
Phoenix Police Department: “What is this Golden Egg thing I've been hearing about?”
Trent: “Oh, that. Well, we just hid a couple of hundred gold eggs with vouchers for free skateboarding product all over downtown Phoenix. We're going to throw out maps for kids to find all of them as soon as the video is over.”

The new Black Label Back in Black video started around 8:30 p.m. Everyone but the cops enjoyed it. Then the mayhem really began. The maps showing where all the golden eggs were hidden throughout the city were carefully distributed (i.e. thrown off the van to the swarm below). Everyone raced to their cars to drive to the area downtown where the eggs were hidden. It all went down in a nine square block area in the heart of downtown Phoenix, where skateboarding is illegal, unless you have 300-plus skaters with you at the same time.

It was really good to see so many skateboarders downtown all at once, with everyone in a frenzy for free skateboarding product. At 10:00 p.m., most of us met at the last spot on the map for the ultra product toss. If for some reason you were not able to find one of the 200 golden eggs, you were sure to at least catch a t-shirt or something. We tossed out tons of product and everyone had a great time.
Thanks to all the sponsors who helped make this possible, plus anyone I missed, and anyone else who has ever ridden a skateboard. See you next year.--Cowtown Skateboards

  5. PERSONALLY, I THINK SEA SHELLS ARE THE PORTALS TO DISCRIMINATION. THERE'S NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT THE WHITE HORSE WILL NEVER FLOW FREE LIKE THE WILLOW TREE.
