Emerica is launched to fill the need for a raw, simple and straight-ahead skate shoe brand designed to meet the demands of skateboarding’s most hardcore enthusiasts.

Emerica honcho Don Brown gathers hardcore street skaters Jamie Thomas, Chris Senn (celebrated in March as Thrasher's 1995 Skater of the Year), Dan Drehobl, Marc Johnson, Phil Shao (RIP) and Donny Barley to form the original Emerica team.

man it's crazy how little people know about skateboarding these days....i've been wearing emericas for almost 10 years, but now it's like "the cool" shoes.
no one knows the roots of skateboarding anymore. it's just like handrail, stair set gaps blah blah.
pretty much every great skater has been on emerica at one time...greco, thomas, strubing, barley kirchart, reynolds, johnson, drehobl, machnau and koston! just kidding. no koston for the kiddies.
I remember Jamie's ad. Reynolds was on Etnies at the time. Chris Senn has been on Emerica since the begnning and No Pro Model?
Jamie Thomas made a stupid move getting off Emerica. Fallen Footwear sucks anyways.
i dont get it. is it a new shoe company from emerica? did mj leave lakai? did jamie leave fallen? ya. weird. but cool if the mj shoe comes back. ive heard many a good things about it but have never had the chance to stakedoarb with it.

actully the tilt 2 is pretty much the same thing as the johnson 1. it has the same sole, the same lace loop design, etc. the only real differnce is the tilt design where the big "m" should be. pretty slick emerica. good way to bring back a classic.
JT jumped to circa then started fallen. but wy would he leave when its his own company. fallen got a sweet team to. if he left they would be misin somthing emerica needs to pick up COEY DUFFEL hes kick ass. and JT is dumb for kickin him off fallen
chris senn did have a pro model shoe. corey duffel used to be on emerica then he left or got kicked off. i dont know which but correy duffel used to be on emerica. the tilt 2 doesnt look anything like the mj 1 shoe. that shoe was a classic but the mj 2 shoe has to be one of my favorites!!!

ok... jamie left to own other shoe companies, and senn really did have a pro model. does anyone have a pic of the MJs?
and why doesn't chris senn make another pro model, now?
cmon..the MJ's appear in every skateboard video released between ' 99 and ' 02 or '03...the tilt is the imitation of it
