Emerica Barges the Maloof Course!
So, we barged the Maloof course to get a feel for it and admire all of the nice landscaping before the throngs arrive. It's such a shame they're going to tear it all down after the contest!
Anyway, the whole shebang goes down on July 11-13, 2008 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California during the opening weekend of the OC Fair. Including three professional U.S. championship competitions--Men’s and Women’s Pro Street, Men’s Pro Vert and the U.S. Amateur Championships--the Maloof Money Cup boasts the largest purse in the history of professional skateboarding, with over $450,000 in prize money.

The guy who created the contest owns the Sacramento Kings. He doesn't even skate, why the f**k is he even hosting a contest. He's just doing it because he wants to look cool and hip in front of this generation of kids. Skateboarding is getting to popular. So many jock fags and even cops are starting to shop at skateboarding stores and even trying to skate. Fuck this contest. You want to see good skateboarding, then watch Cody McEntire's part from Digitals Smoke And Mirrors. Or you know what watch the whole video. All those fools are unknown and keep skateboarding where it's at.

The dudes having a skateboarding contest to attract skaters to the event, which to my understanding is a fair or carnival type thing.
tearing the park down is riciulous. he should donate the ramps or boxes or whatever to the city to start a park... thats what they did in Banff Alberta with Slam City Jam.
