Rob Maatman Wins AmsterDamn Am!

The third annual Volcom AmsterDamn Am contest took place this past weekend, and Emerica was represented very well in the Finals with Collin Provost, David Loy, Chris Gregson and Emerica Europe team rider Rob Maatman. Unfortunately, Justin "Figgy" Figueroa and Eniz Fazliov (Emerica Europe) got stranded in the Half-Finals. Right after the Half-Finals, Collin got injured, so he couldn’t enter the Finals and ended up in twelfth place.

Chris ended up in ninth, while David had some solid runs and ended up in fourth. He will be spending some extra time in Holland to get extra footage and hang out with Rob. The latter broke his board just before the Finals, but with a borrowed one, he still managed to claim the 5,000 Euro prize money (almost $8,000) and a plane ticket to the Tampa Am contest in December. Check some footage of Rob’s runs at Tacky, and give him a shout out on his Emerica team page!

Photos, top to bottom: Rob Maatman slides a backside Smith and takes his place on the podium. David Loy floats a lien air. Rob posts up a big spin. David busts out with a super stylish 5-0.
