Team Report 02-16-06
Andrew Reynolds has been getting a lot of footage lately with Emerica filmer Jon Miner. The secret famous SoCal spot we mentioned in last week’s Team Report that Andrew would be skating was La Canada High School, where he threw down an incredible line.
Heath Kirchart is freezing out in Des Moines, Iowa, where he is setting up the new second location of Subsect skate shop. In fact, Heath just called me up to get some jackets because it's so cold out there, so I sent him the Emerica Trife and Kensington jackets.
Ed Templeton is in Milan, Italy setting up the Beautiful Losers art exhibit that that opens this Friday, February 17 at La Triennale di Milano. If you can't make it over to Italy for some Ed love, check out a couple of vintage photos of him from 1990 in the "Start to Finish" article in the April 2006 issue of Skateboarder, as well as a, um, "lifestyle" photo in the Vol. 13 No. 2 issue of Vice.
Kevin “Spanky” Long was invited to an Active Ride Shop employee party at an L.A. Clippers basketball game at Staples Center on Friday. The Spankster has also been shredding with Emerica Mansion II housemates Jon Miner, Leo Romero and Emerica flow rider Marquis Preston.
Bryan Herman got his cast off today, and let me tell you he’s a little more than stoked. He is also in the middle of buying his first house just outside of Victorville, which is even more reason to be stoked. Herman is scheduled to go through some physical therapy soon and will be back on his board in no time.
Leo Romero is out tearing it up around the Los Angeles area, filming and shooting photos for a new Thrasher interview. Leo just recently purchased a new Toyota Prius, and to celebrate, he got it towed the other day while he was eating breakfast at a diner. Nice one, Leo!
Aaron Suski will be heading out to Spain on Monday with the Birdhouse team for a week-and-a-half. Suski’s coverage carnage continues via a "Cohorts" article with his good friend Anthony Shetler in the April 2006 issue of Skateboarder, plus a sick-ass 12-page interview and Birdhouse ad in the March 2006 issue of Slap! Woo-hoo! Keep it going, Suskiwoo!
Chris Senn is in Austrtalia this week, skating around and tearing up the local parks down there. Senn will be skating the Bondi Bowl-a-Rama contest on Friday, February 24.
Austin Stephens just returned home from a weekend jaunt out to Kansas City for a Toy Machine demo.
Braydon Szafranski is in Brazil skating a ton of spots with some friends. He will return home next week and fly out to Australia at the end of the month.
Matt Allen has been filming around Los Angeles this week and hanging with his roommate, Bryan Herman.
Brandon Westgate just got a tight two-page "Am" interview in the March 2006 issue of Slap. Congrats and keep it up, Brandon! Also, we forgot to mention that yesterday was Brandon's birthday, so let's all wish him a happy one!
