Unhappy Jack By Victor Villafane
I can hear June burning in my yard,
I can feel your presence right now,
I thought I knew you to well,
But you fell and rang for your pity bells,
The news on you seems to be so clear,
I've felt harder things hit me before,
The smell of wine seems to be so pure,
I think your love is my only cure,
I'm driving to the moon,
To see if there is light there,
but it's only a ball of cheese,
won't you help me please?
There's a stray cat on my porch,
His eyes like crystal,
He's got a heap of guilt on his back,
He's just like me, Unhappy Jack.
There's a road that ends no where,
It's got shops with glass windows,
That only say,
Keep away!
I'm driving to Antarctica,
To see if there is light there,
But it's only a hunk of ice,
Time to roll my dice.
I'm a man with out love,
A man on a quest,
I seek for something,
That could only suit me best.
