Not So Secret After All

What are the odds of a sick new spot getting built right under your nose? A friend of Emerica tipped us off to a brand-new spot that was reportedly just completed and ready to skate. Not ones to let an opportunity go to waste, Heath Kirchart, Kevin Long, Braydon Szafranski and Brandon Westgate were down to roll, so we jumped in the van and went to go check it out.

Heath forgot about Casual Fridays.

Unfortunately, we weren't the first to arrive. Seems like others had caught wind of the freshness and beat us to the punch. With the Internet, nothing can be kept secret these days, I guess.

Brandon surveyed the spot before diving in.

Unfazed, Heath, Kevin and Brandon got to work. Braydon, always the showman, took center stage and proceeded to call out the deeds of his fellow Emericans.

Unfortunately, no one was around to witness Kevin ripping.

Heath and Brandon did their best to ignore a random bum lurking the spot.

Kevin just couldn't stop staring at the floating hamburger. Come on Kevin, leave it alone.

Braydon pondered the mysteries of the equilateral triangle with a total stranger. You can always count on Braydon to start a discussion on practical geometry.

Of course, word spread fast that Emerica was in town, and it wasn't long until the spot started to heat up. Crowds of innocent bystanders became victim to the hypnotizing spell of skateboarding as a once unknown spot suddenly became the center of attention. Not one to get sucked up into the hype, Ed Templeton showed up to give his fellow Emericans some much needed support.

"Look, beat it, buddy!" Brandon told the hecklers to hit the road.

You've never seen this spot before: Domine Kirchart blessed the wall with his holy wheels, then headed back to the van and filed a TPS report.

Ed and Deanna Templeton curiously looked into a black box, not realizing that it had captured them, frozen in time for all eternity.

Even Ed couldn't calm the masses, so after a successful session, we had to get out before things got too crazy. At a certain point, you just have to understand your position and relinquish the controls. Hopefully, we can keep the secret a bit longer next time.
