So we found out that most people who sign up to the Emerica site using a hotmail, msn or live email address, never receive their password email, and therefore are never able to login.

Why is this, you ask?

Bill Gates as Hitler

It's because we're on some "Microsoft blacklist", which means that no emericaskate emails ever make it to users' inboxes. Not even in junk email.

Are you currently using a hotmail, msn or live email address? Let me know what you experiences are.

    You're signed up to receive the Emerica newsletter at the same email address you have for your account here. I spent a good month trying to figure out how to get mail reliably delivered to Hotmail addresses before finding out that they preemptively mark anything as spam (or simply delete in transit) any email that hasn't been paid for up front.     Sorry for the trouble. I would advise against using Hotmail, MSN or Windows Live Mail if you would like to receive any emails from us.

  8. Tao: that's why every email provider should allow mail forwarding, so you wouldn't have to switch.

    Gmail is far superior to hotmail, anyway. Give it a try.
