Wild in the Streets Bucharest report

With more than 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) during the event this last stop of the European team was a hard but nice one! Bucharest treated us great and all the people were nice to us.

Starting point was the local skatepark where we met up with all the locals who were ready to show the European Emerica riders their best streetspots. European Emerica-riders Foppa Forsberg (Sweden), Stefan Sperka (Austria), Thomas Nielsen (Denmark), Vladik Scholz (Germany) and Jo Lorenz (Germany) came to Romania for this Wild in the Streets, as well as special guest European éS rider Andy Welther.

The locals where killing it on the first stop, a university building with a lot of marble stairs ledges and gaps.

From there only 50 metres down the road we found a nice double set, which Vladik Scholz took down with a nollie heelflip!

Because the next stop was too far to skate (especially with this heat) everyone took the subway to a park with the monument for the unknown soldier. Fortunately the security gave us some time to skate the big double set next to the monument, but after 15 minutes of broken boards and hurt ankles we had to leave without landing a trick….

Foppa Forsberg – switch frontside kickflip

The stairs and ledges leading up to the monument where fun to skate as well, Foppa pulled a switch frontside flip in to the ledge and Jo Lorenz nollie heelflipped in to it.
On our way to the last stop Jo found a nice rail and landed a switch boardslide and a 50-50 on it.

In the end it was long and warm Wild in the Streets, it lasted for almost 8 hours! All riders where stoked to be in Bucharest and loved the spots they seen. The team just traveled to Brasov to spends some days skating there.
After visiting three cities the last month all the footage will be compiled to big article for some European magazines and a DVD, so be on the lookout for this!
